I believe that pruning is as much art as science.
Pruning is prescribed based on the
understanding of plant growth, but also the
plants' intent within the landscape. In addition,
my experience with local conditions offers a
unique perspective to clients wishing to nourish
their shrubs and small trees in the harsh
northern Maine climate. I only practice the art of
natural hand pruning, a highly valued specialty.
Shrubs are more beautiful, live longer, and better
meet the intended purpose for which they were
planted if pruned by this method.
